When our college in Indiana offered me an opportunity to do a teaching exchange down in Colombia, South America, I was really hesitant to accept the offer, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt that a change of scenery would be really good for me. Sometimes one’s life can become much too predictable and even boring if you don’t do something to spice it up now and then. The University in Medellin had a few furnished medellin apartments that they kept near the campus for visiting lecturers. My every need was well accomodated and my experience was truly wonderful. I actually would like to return there someday, maybe to even retire there.
