Cor Blimey mate, it’s Luton Airport !
January 31, 2009 5:40 am TravelAnyone out there old enough to remember the advert for Campari with Lorraine Chase and Leonard Rossiter will be well aware how Luton never quite managed to live down the line “Nah, Luton Airport!”. Wherever those poor Lutonians go, they find the only thing people know about Luton is that dreaded line “Nah, Luton Airport”. How the most unlikely of things can come back to haunt you. I suppose, just by mentioning it now I am adding to the perpetuation of that ad strap line.
Anyway, moving on… Luton Airport is ideally situated a mere three kilometres from Luton town centre and easily reached from London, via the Thameslink rail line. If you have chosen not to hire a car, Luton Parkway is the railway station you need to look out for when heading over to the airport. Alternatively, there is the easyBus that runs from Baker Street in London direct to the airport.
If you are driving, you can reach Luton Airport via the A1/A505 from the east or the M40/M25/M1 from the west. Luton Airport couldn’t be easier to reach for business and leisure travellers alike.
