I was able to adopt a parrot from a co-worker that could no longer care for the bird.  I knew what I was getting in for and was happy to make the commitment it would take.  I brought the bird home and immediately decided that he needed a larger cage.  I went to the local pet store and got some great tips from a knowledgeable employee about how to choose a parrot cage that would meet the needs of my parrot and myself.  I didn’t end up buying the cage from that store because i was able to find one online that was a much better price.
