It is interesting to me how things like the weather can influence economics. Sure, it is obvious when there is a flood in the Midwest that washes away the town when it shows buildings and houses being swept down rivers. But it does not have to be that dramatic to have an effect on the real economy or peoples business. I read a story about a Bronx car accident attorney who tracks the weather. What she has analyzed is that when the Bronx, New York is hit with a thunderstorm on average 200 to 250 car accidents occur. She has a business policy that when it rains  she stays in her office and waits for the phone to ring. Rainy days and Mondays don’t get her down.
