My children are at the age where they are learning about shapes and different objects that can be used to build things. I like for them to actually take part in what they are learning rather than just listening to me tell them what something is. A great activity for this is coloring. They can learn about what they are coloring and recognize it. We use car coloring pages for this. There are pages that are cars made out of shapes for younger children. This helps my children with learning shapes and everything. We also color regular car pictures to learn about the parts, like the wheels and the lights and so on.

If your child who is not able to walk has a good upper body and does not need any back or hear support, he may not need the electric child wheelchair. The manual chair would be a good choice for him. There are lightweight wheelchairs that can easily be maneuvered by hand and at the same time provide the child with the necessary tools to participate in many extracurricular activities and even sports. Aside from that, there are also lightweight rigid wheelchairs which are good for quick transport. Always bear in mind that it is your child’s ability to move around which is your prime concern.

Sometimes the simplest things can seem so difficult. I thought it would be hard to have to shop for my three step sons. I have three daughters and shopping for them is fun and easy.
