While I was watching “Bones” last night, an American crime drama television series that is based on forensic science, I suddenly remembered my Uncle Scott. He is a criminal defense lawyer in Los Angeles committed to helping out his clients and their families. As a criminal defense lawyer he represents individuals who have been charged with crimes and argue their cases in courts of law. I am very fascinated with his work because I believe that lawyers form the backbone of the legal system that affects almost every aspect of our society. They have great power but along with it come great responsibility. They are obligated to adhere to a strict code of ethics.
