A lot of beginner guitar players think that learning the blues is tough. I’m not going to stand here and write that it’s easy but if you have some basic guitar skills for chords and understanding basic theory you’ll be able to figure out the 12 bar blues.

If you know your basic pentatonic shapes then you’ll be able to quickly learn the extra blues notes to play some sweet acoustic or electric blues licks. If none of this makes any sense but you’re a huge fan of the blues then you’ve got to take a look for some good blues guitar lessons either locally or online. There are lots of resources available to learn and you’re never too old.
